About me, Jo...

For the last 30 years I have been avidly exploring what it means to live life with a sense of wellbeing - body, mind and beyond. I have found that knowledge is key, as well as attitude, a regular practice, and a good sense of humour!

This all started when I was just 17 years old and my enthusiatic father signed me up for my first self-develpment course. Many similar courses followed.

I started to practice yoga regularly at 22 and it has travelled along with me through my adult life since then. Hatha and pranayama eased me in to motherhood, ashtanga and vinyasa flow restored by posture after carrying small kids about all day, meditation and pranayama restored my sanity during the same period. Kundalini brought me back to myself as my kids grew older.Yin yoga taught me how to nurture my aging body.

During this time I also continued to explore and practise self-development, Buddhism, meditation, alternative therapies, psychology, and how science is making sense of all of these age old ideas.

I've seen time and time again that my sense of wellbeing is not only to do with life's circumstances, but also very much about my attitude towards them.

I have been teaching since 2007 and am a qualified yoga and meditation teacher.

My studies include mindfulness meditation, embodied movement, yoga (hatha and kundalini), breathwork, chanting, qigong, chronic pain issues, and self-development concepts.

I am trauma informed.

I offer both one-to-one and small group sessions.

Please contact me to book a session.

I look forward to meeting you.
